NL-2369783 Groningen, the NE-most province of the Netherlands

Groningen is the northeasternmost province of the Netherlands. It has a total are of 2,967 km2.   The population of Groningen is more than 580,000. The capital of the province and the seat of the provincial government is the city of Groningen.

The province is divided into 23 municipalities. The land is mainly used for agriculture. There are sea ports in Delfzijl and Eemshaven. Within the province, there is a large natural gas field near Slochteren.

Where is Groningen?

I received this nice multi-view postcard from Oetske 12 Mar 2014 through Postcrossing.  I liked it because there is a nice provincial flag in the centre.  I have not been able to identify any of the scenes in the postcard yet.  Any help is welcomed.

  1. Hi Tom, the red bridge is called 'de rode loper'. It's a cycle bridge near Stadskanaal. The rest I don't recognise. Greetings from Diana
