Every
July for over 50 years, this festival in Pont-l’Abbé brings Bigouden traditions
back to life, and adds a dash of foreign folklore to the mix. It regularly
attracts some thirty thousand visitors and the Fête des Brodeuses is like a
vast patchwork quilt of music, dance, Breton bagpipes and Celtic folklore
groups, spread over the town's streets and stages for four whole days. The
festival ends with a gigantic finale in honour of the Embroidery Queen.
This postcard depicts the Ar Vro Vigoudenn Celtic Dance
Group and was sent by Isabelle K. (magnyette) (15 Aug 2014) Swap-bot.
