Nativity scene made of Ginger bread in Židenicích, Brno, Czech Republic

In the Židenicích district of Brno there is a popular custom of making ginger bread figurines just before Christmas.  The usual scene created is that of the Nativity (Birth of Jesus Christ).  Jeremy Nicholas sent me this interesting postcard and said that in 2009, a Guiness Book record was achieved with .2,215 pieces.

This is an interesting look into Czech culture in Brno.
