SW BE-084, WC 16-130 Las Vegas (2 postcards)

Las Vegas is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Nevada. The 2010 population of the Las Vegas metropolitan area was 1,951,269.  Las Vegas was established in 1905 and was incorporated as a city in 1911.

Very early in its existence, the city's tolerance for various forms of adult entertainment earned it the title of Sin City and this image has made Las Vegas a popular setting for films and television programs.  Las Vegas is well known for its casinos, entertainment and resorts.

This postcard identifies Las Vegas as “the gaming capital of the World” but the truth is that Macau, China is 5 times bigger in terms of gambling dollar turnover with 10 times more hotel rooms.  In the postcard, the Las Vegas Strip is shown glittering in the night.

This postcard was sent by Pauline (minmeismom) 14 May 2014 Swap-bot.

Personal note: In 2008 we spent a week in Las Vegas taking in the shows and the sights of this exciting city.

This second postcard is full of glitter and shows several Las Vegas casino hotels.  The two hotels that we stayed in Luxor and Planet Hollywood are not on this postcard.
