Mount Sir Donald (3,284 m) is a peak in the Rogers Pass area (Selkirk Mountains) of
British Columbia, Canada. Its shape resembles the Matterhorn to some extent.
Mount Sir Donald is popular with alpine rock climbers and the Northwest Arete
route is included in the popular book “Fifty Classic Climbs of North America”. The peak
was originally named Syndicate Peak in honour of the group who arranged the
finances for the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway but was later
renamed after Donald Smith, head of the syndicate.
Mount Sir Donald is in the Glacier National Park of Canada.
